OK, so here's what I look like in a uniform, minus the patrol cap. It is what Cole refers to as that "ugly camo." I think that may be the technical term.
Today was Victory Tower, which is repelling, crossing ropes and the like. All in all, a great way to spend a morning. I got paid to do a pretty good ropes course basically. This afternoon, not such a great thing. I was on a detail that had to set up tents for our class to sleep in when we are in the field. We managed to make this a much more difficult job than it had to be. We didn't get back to quarters until after 3. We should have been back before 1.
Regardless, I've had a good dinner. I'm in quarters early, with intentions of going to bed early. Not a bad day.
For those who are curious, Emily has found a house to rent in TX. She has put in an application, and she'll find out Monday if we get the house. She mentioned putting some pictures on this blog so people (including myself) could see where we were going to be living, but I don't think that will happen until she has actually signed a lease. (You never know.)

You would have to pay me extremely well to wear a uniform like that and do rope courses and everything else you have to do. Do you wear that uniform while you're training? Keep up the good work! Emily described the house to me. It sounds spacious and gorgeous. I can't wait to see it! I love you and miss you. Mother in TN.
Not bad. Glad to here you are adapting. Funny that a hiker like you should take so long to set up a tent. We miss you here and you and Emily are always in our prayers.

Hello-This is the first time we have seen your blog-the boys were so excited to see you in your army outfit-Connor said, "He is a real army man now" We pray for you daily and the boys always ask that the Lord will keep you safe and away from the guns and war. Its so cute to hear them pray. I spoke with Emily earlier in the week. Becky and I are flying out to see her and help her get settled on July 16th and we fly out on the 21st. Well I have to attend to a fight amongst my boys (imagine that:) You take care and remember that we are thinking of you and missing you and Emily both.

I tried to do as little setting the tent up as possible. Taking initiative with the NCOs results in attention...attention eventually ends up as pushups or scissor kicks. I'm trying to keep my head down. If the cadre never learn my name, if suceeded.
Justin, I'm glad to catch up on your doings. Good luck to you and may God keep you strong. I enjoyed being with your parents and Emily (and your son:) for lunch today. Emily looks so cute. It was so nice visiting with her.
Take Care,
from your cousin Kathy
I can't believe you didn't want to so your new friends what a wonderful tent like structure you helped make in the Sippsey. Good luck with things and hopefully you can pick that run time up (HAHA). I'll send you a few of the pics so you can inlighten your friends on our construction techqinues in the woods.
