More Pictures!
I currently am syncing pictures from May in Iraq that Justin has sent. Look for the album titled, "Iraq_May." Creative title, huh?

Justin was the building you and the people looking at the Monstery? What happened to it? Had a wonderful time with your family. They are loving and great.Hope you enjoy the pictures I tried to get as many as I could with out being a pest. EM- Miss you already Love you guys. Tonya
The building we were looking at was a 4th century monastery. It ceased to be a monastery after the rise of Islam. Iraqi army forces were actually using it as a company headquarters during the invasion. A unit from the 101st Airborne briefly did the same until a chaplain pointed out that it was an old monestary. Some of the damage you see was actually from fighting during the US invasion.

Thanks for the pictures. They were very interesting! What's taking place in front of the American flag? Love, Momma(Grandma)
