This picture is my platoon. It was taken immediately after our beret donning ceremony. There are some other pictures from this in my photo albums.Afterwards, I spent the weekend with Emily at Hard Labor Creek State Park in Georgia. Basically, we looked around the town of Madision and spent a great deal of time laying around. I'll pay for a weekend of laziness tomorrow. From this point forward, there will be a lot more paperwork. There are a lot of lectures and a lot of homework.

Hey there! Been a while since I have written. The kids and I look at it often. I hope your weekend with Emily was good, I know you all enjoyed being together. Becky and I fly out next Wed. to visit I'm so excited to see your alls place and to visit with Emily. You take care and we miss you all and pray for you daily! Love The Tolbert's in KY!
Glad you got to spend time with Emily. It is a hard thing to be away from your spouse. Speaking from experiance, take every chance you can to spend together and I hope you never have to do a year like I did. Good luck with the classroom section of your training. I know you will be stir crazy before it is all over with. You and Emily are always in our thoughts and prayers.
